JUDY GOSS, Founder and CEO

What Women Want® (formerly Over 40 Females) was founded in January 2010 by Judy Goss, from her background as an editor at MORE Magazine and also a national TV correspondent for More and Better TV, a women's lifestyle TV network. Judy is currently the radio show host of What Women Want with 30,000 listeners/month, a TV Lifestyle Expert constantly traveling the country appearing on major network TV (NBC, CBS, ABC and FOX) motivational public speaker, journalist for NY Lifestyles Magazine and also a St. Martin's Press published author. She has also traveled extensively meeting thousands of women nationwide who value being connected with women whose purpose it is to succeed in business AND in their personal lives, what Judy now calls "Lifestyle Networking." Leveraging the press that Judy gets along with her lifestyle shows that she hosts, What Women Want is the perfect combination of What Women...want to be: successful in EVERY realm of their life.

Since 2011, numerous Connect LIVE!™ Chapters have been established nationwide to represent women everywhere who are joining this rapidly expanding women's community, along with our national conference "Spirit of Women" which connects the regional chapters with a larger community, soon to be international.

Beth Mercante started her first business endeavor right out of college in 1990 when she founded a real estate investment company. After that she worked as a national real estate investment consultant for a firm in Manhattan, traveling around the country working with banks, insurance companies and developers on international business deals and investments. Beth’s most recent venture, Ludian LLC, which she established in 2010, has invested more than $3 million within its first two years of operation. Acting as the COO for What Women Want, Beth helps our women’s community grow strategically throughout the country. She manages digital operations and ongoing projects to continue growth and education for the women.






Joan Pelzer - National Social Media Strategist, What Women Want and President of Joan Pelzer Media, LLC.

Joan Pelzer is the founder of Joan Pelzer Media, LLC, a social media marketing company. Joan specializes in social media strategy and engagement, online PR, and business development. Joan is a connector at heart, who loves bringing like-minded people together both online and off.



LINDA ALBRIGHT, Advisory Board Member

A serial entrepreneur who spent the past 20 years in California before returning to her native CT, Linda helped grow successful businesses in several different markets, including enterprise software, professional services (a chimney sweep company with operations in three states) and a venture capital backed dotcom enterprise. Now raising a growing family, her passion for "starting things" has become a passion to help others start things. She now works with women entrepreneurs in companies of all sizes, helping them to define and then achieve "success," in all of its myriad forms. Drawing frequently on both eastern and western religious traditions, Linda helps her clients connect to their sense of purpose in the world as they navigate the never ending needs of work, family, friends, and extra-curriculars. Linda is also a licensed spiritual counselor and the founder of the CT chapter of the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network.

TAMARA PAYNE, Marketing Director

A confident, driven, dynamic professional with 17+ years of solid B2B marketing experience, Tamara delivers profitable solutions to drive sales, attract and maintain customers, and build a solid corporate brand. She has a special talent for enhancing corporate marketability through electronic and print marketing collateral as well as clear, effective corporate messaging. Tamara has stellar organizational and planning skills, as demonstrated in successful event planning experience. 12+ years hands-on small business management, business development and relationship marketing. Her expertise is a team-based management style and has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

PEGGY NORTHROP, Advisory Board Member
Peggy Northrop is an award-winning editor-in-chief with more than 25 years of experience in magazines, newspapers and digital media. A former editor-in-chief of More magazine and global editor-in-chief of Reader’s Digest, she is now the editor-in-chief of Sunset Publishing. Says Peggy, “I’m a huge believer in the power and creativity of women 40+, and I’m thrilled to join Judy and Beth in bringing you all more attention!”

HELEN POWERS, Advisory Board Member 

Helen designed, created and launched the “POWER BAG," a handbag that was personally selected by Oprah to be featured in “O” magazine, the Wall Street Journal and New York Fox 5 News featured it on Shape Magazine’s “Favorite Bags” segment alongside Gucci and Prada. The "POWER BAG" was also nominated for an FGI Design Award. Helen is a multifaceted businesswoman who is in the process of expanding into a lifestyle brand for women over 40. Her background comes from being known as the most legendary, internationally recognized Fit Model and Technical Consultant for the fashion industry. Helen is also an Entrepreneur, Lifestyle Advocate and Spokesperson and has been featured many times on NBC, CNN, CBS “Early Show," Fox 5 with Patti Labelle, Inside Edition with Susan Lucci and also the TV Guide Channel.
