In 2009 I was 10 days away from competing for California in the National Senior Olympics when I fell off my bike during a training race and broke my neck. I was a quadriplegic for two weeks, and in the hospital for 5, Nonetheless, I gain back my mobility and returned to work 7 weeks after I was paralyzed.
Now, I am a certified family law specialist, a Fellow of the America Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and a “Super Lawyer” for many years. When I take a case, the client knows that he or she will not only survive their dissolution matter, they will end up thriving after it. I take pride in flexible and creative problem solving. Because I am an appellate lawyer as well as a trial lawyer, I have a deep understanding of the complex issues that arise in dissolution matters, including, division of assets, valuation of businesses, child custody matters, and child and spousal support. I have won the seminal appellate case, too, concerning breach of fiduciary duties. In addition to an academic understanding of the law, I bring compassion and personalized attention to each and every one of my clients.
I bring the same energy I apply to my cases to my non-legal interests, including cycling, reading, and walking my Miniature Schnauzer.
